The Academy is growing in England!

News

A loyal partner since 2015, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy England has grown quickly in recent months. This ambitious project has also seen the partnership extended through to 2022.

In one year, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy England has multiplied its number of centres four-fold for young footballers, increasing from two centres to eight, including one 100% for girls!

Preston, Coventry, Kent, Essex, Birmingham, London, Brighton, Bishop Auckland, Middlesbrough... the Academy has gained a lot of ground all over England. And it's not finished yet, with ambitious manager Alex Harrap planning to open another 10 sites in the coming months in order to cover the entire country.

The secret of its success: a new concept and a new dynamic. Initially the Paris Saint-Germain Academy England only offered school holidays camps, combining football and language courses. A real educational success! Over the past year, in order to have a more complete and year-round offer, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy has set up in schools in the form of extracurricular activities. Thus, the "Players Development Program" allows nearly 250 children to discover the club's methodology and playing philosophy within English schools.

Nadia Benmokhtar, Head of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy is delighted: "This Academy is a real example. England is a football country par excellence, with big clubs and specific know-how. The success of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy in cities such as London and Manchester is a very strong sign of the club's growing international reputation. It is a great pleasure to see these children discover the club's training methods, a different football, while progressing and having fun. We are proud to support this partner by building on its ambitious strategic vision, in line with that of Paris Saint-Germain."

In all, four Head Coaches are spread over the different sites in order to provide the Paris Saint-Germain methodology and to supervise local coaches.

The Academy also aims to expand into Wales in the near future.
