A series of events organised by the Foundation will take place over the course of the month.
Having raised awareness about disability for many years, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation is organising a month of actions with one aim: to promote the inclusion of disabled people in sport. Several initiatives will be rolled out throughout the month of December to promote interactions between the Foundation’s able-bodied and disabled beneficiaries.
During the month, Paris Saint-Germain's adapted football teams will take centre stage. Every training session will be turned into an event, with visits from the club's athletes - footballers, handball players and judokas - as well as people who benefit from the Foundation's assistance, such as girls from the Allez les Filles programme and youngsters who are struggling in school that are involved in the Aurore programme. Three training sessions will be held in the Camp des Loges on 2nd, 9th and 16th December.
Within the framework of the partnership with the Necker-Enfants malades - APHP Hospital, three members of the adapted football team will join Paris Saint-Germain's paralympic judoka, Nacer Zorgani, when he takes part in the “Radio on Air” programme on Thursday 8th December. They will all pass on their messages of encouragement and hope.
Finally, for just over two weeks, from 28th November to 16th December, sessions to raise awareness about disability sports - such as blind football, boccia and wheelchair basketball - will be held in the Rouge & Bleu School run by the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation in Mantes-la-Jolie. The programme's young players will play host to an adapted football team on Thursday 8th December.
Wednesday 30th November marked the release of the documentary Onze de Légende on the MyCanal platform. The documentary follows a team made up of young players with autism and young players from Clamart football team as they prepare for a match against Paris Saint-Germain’s U9 team. Club employees and their children have been invited to a special screening of the documentary in the Parc des Princes auditorium, to raise awareness about inclusion and tolerance.
The habitual theatre for Mbappé, Messi and Neymar Jr's exploits, the Parc des Princes is also getting involved in this campaign by hosting various special events. Like in 2021, an Escape Game will be organised in the Parc des Princes on the same day as the two adapted football teams come to meet and have lunch with women who are involved in the Allez les Femmes programme.
The high point of this month of actions will see 150 of the Foundation's beneficiaries, a hundred of whom are involved in programmes that are connected with disabilities, will be invited to watch the Foundation's match, Paris Saint-Germain vs. RC Strasbourg Alsace, on 28th December in the Parc des Princes.
Presnel Kimpembe, patron of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, said: "The Foundation's actions to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities is outstanding. I hope that all of the children will use this opportunity to cultivate their own kindness and tolerance. I would like to congratulate everyone who has helped organised these events."
