Paris Saint-Germain Judo is delighted to announce the extension of Marie-Ève Gahié's contract for two further seasons. The 2024 World Judo Championships runner-up, who competes in the -70kg category, is now tied to the club until 31st August 2026.

Gahié made her remarkable debut in 2013, when she became both a European champion and a world champion in the cadet category, before winning gold in the women's team event at the European Judo Championships in Baku in 2015. The following year, she took the top spot on the podium in the individual junior event in Malaga and then went on to win the French senior title.

At the 2018 World Judo Championships in Baku, Gahié won two silver medals, picking up one each in the individual women's and mixed team events. Then, in 2019, aged just 22, she was crowned as a world champion in the individual women's event in Tokyo as well as taking home another silver medal in the mixed team event.

Last season, Gahié shone on the tatamis with a mixed-team victory at the Olympic Games in Paris, a second European title, another World Championships final and two silver medals at the Grand Slams in Baku and Paris. With Les Rouge et Bleu, she also won the Champions League in Belgrade last December.

Djamel Bouras, President of Paris Saint-Germain Judo: ‘We are delighted to be keeping Marie-Ève at Paris Saint-Germain until 2026. At just 27, she has built up an impressive individual and team record. Last season, she shone in national and continental competitions, demonstrating that she is among the best in the world in her category. The next two years promise to be exciting for the club and for Marie-Ève. We'll be looking forward to all future events, both individual and team.’

Marie-Ève Gahié, judoka at Paris Saint-Germain Judo: ‘I'm very proud to be continuing my adventure with the Paris Saint-Germain family, and I'm looking forward to meeting up with the staff and with the other judokas at the club. We share the same ambitions for the future. Together, we'll continue to aim for the top step of the podium, whatever the competition.'
