It’s with immense sadness that the Paris Saint-Germain family learned of the passing of Jean-Paul Belmondo on Monday, at the age of 88.
The nation’s “Bébel”, who will forever remain one of the most loved French actors, was a huge football fan and he played the sport for many years as a goalkeeper.
In 1973, alongside Daniel Hechter and Francis Borelli, Jean-Paul Belmondo participated in the renaissance of Paris Saint-Germain and he remained loyal to his club, often to be found in the stands cheering on his team with his friend Charles Gérard.
His son Paul and his grandson Victor have continued in his footsteps and are loyal to the Rouge et Bleu at the Parc des Princes.
