A minute's silence in tribute to the Moroccan victims

News

Before the kick-off of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and OGC Nice on Friday, the Parc des Princes held a minute's silence in tribute to the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.

On the night of 8 September 2023, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Morocco, killing more than 3,000 people, injuring hundreds and leaving thousands homeless. Before kick-off, the Parc des Princes held a minute's silence in tribute to the victims of this disaster and their families.

In response to this tragedy, Paris Saint-Germain will be donating one euro for every ticket sold for the match against OGC Nice on Friday, in order to help the people of Morocco. The club also wants to involve its fans by creating an appeal for donations in partnership with the Fondation de France, one of the first organisations to take action.
