Unai Emery: 'An important objective'

ON the eve of the UEFA Champions League Matchday 1 clash with Celtic, on Tuesday, 12 September at Celtic Park at 19:45 (20:45 CET), Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery fronted the press.
Unai Emery: 'An important objective'

"We can't wait to start the Champions League. It's an important objective. We'll start the competition with a lot of confidence. The players are all in good form. There's a tough match waiting for us here, but we have the drive and the confidence."

"We're going about our business, step by step. The Champions League is important to us, and we're approaching it with a great sense of responsibility. We have great players in our team. It's a great moment for the whole club - we want to continue making progress and be one of the teams who go a long way in the competition. But still, we have to do that step by step."

Unai Emery: 'An important objective'

"All the teams in the competition deserve to be there. Celtic are a great team, who win a lot, and who have a lot of internationals and players used to playing in the Champions League. The club made it through the play-offs. They have a rich history and they're used to playing the big matches. But we want to impose our style on the pitch and get off to a good start in the Champions League. The atmosphere? It's amazing. Every player likes playing in that kind of ambience. On Tuesday, it will be against us. But Paris Saint-Germain players are used to that kind of atmosphere."

"What we want is to imbue the team with tactical discipline. We have a lot of talented players in every line. Players should be able to play together. The formation can change certain details, but the team should always play with the same style."
