NBA champion in 2015 and 2017 with the Golden State Warriors, point guard Stephen Curry visited the French capital for the first time on Friday and to cap off a great day, headed to the Parc des Princes to watch Paris Saint-Germain versus Saint-Etienne: "It's the first time I've come to Paris. It's a beautiful city. You can really feel the history here, the culture. It's a really short trip this time, so I'll have to come back to see as many things as possible. I'm really happy to be here at the Parc des Princes and to see Paris Saint-Germain play."

The Golden State No.30, is used to lighting up the NBA courts and was twice named regular season MVP, in 2015 and 2016, and he found himself the centre of attention once again on Friday night as he gave the ceremonial kick-off at the Parc. It was a great moment for this fan of football and the Paris Saint-Germain players: "I love football. I never really played the game, so it's more as a fan that I watch it now. It's a real privilege to see the biggest stars of the game that are here in Paris, like Neymar obviously. He came to watch Golden State play last year. It's going to be great, I can't wait to see the atmosphere during the game because I know it's going to be crazy."

"Neymar is obviously a really talented player. Every time he's on the pitch, you know something is going to happen. There are plenty of similarities between the way he plays and the way I play. We both like giving the maximum out on the pitch. He's always smiling and you can see he loves what he's doing."

Curry also had a chat to Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaïfi before the game, and he congratulated the players on their victory after the match; visiting the changing room after Les Rouge et Bleu recorded their fourth victory in a row… a truly unforgettable night!
