Emery: 'Focused on Sunday's match'

Find out what Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery had to say ahead of Sunday's first Ligue 1 match of the New Year, away to Nantes in Week 20 of the season:

SQUAD UPDATE:

"We have two more training sessions ahead of Sunday's match. We will see how the players recover from the Amiens match. I think everybody should be fine. Only Thiago Motta is working individually to come back from injury."

EDINSON CAVANI AND JAVIER PASTORE:

"We are preparing for the match against Nantes with the entire squad. Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore will rejoin the squad when they have caught up the the training days they missed."

Emery: 'Focused on Sunday's match'

THE ATMOSPHERE WITHIN THE SQUAD:

"Paris attracts a lot of attention, because Paris is a big club. The squad is very strong. The players are focused on the big challenges coming up, whether that be Sunday's match against Nantes or the Champions League tie versus Real Madrid. The players are very intelligent."

FC NANTES AND CLAUDIO RANIERI:

"Ranieri is a reference for all coaches. He has a lot of experience and has coached a lot of great clubs. He achieved incredible results with Leicester. It's a great honour for the Ligue 1 to have Ranieri at Nantes. They are a very tough team to play against. They will play with a lot of desire and their supporters at home."

LAYVIN KURZAWA:

"Kurzawa got sick just after the winter break. He is lacking a little training, so I opted for the Yuri Berchiche solution. There is a healthy competition between the two. I have every confidence in Layvin. He needs to get fully fit again to be able to give his best out on the pitch."
