Emery: 'Another step closer to the title'

Find out what Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery had to say to the media at the traditional pre-match press conference ahead of the Week 31 Ligue 1 clash between Paris and Angers, this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes:

"We have doubts about Marquinhos and Pastore. Lass is suspended and Meunier felt a little pain towards the end of training on Monday. We will make a final decision after today's training session."

"We are playing Angers at the Parc and every home match is special. Because of the 17:00 kick-off, not all our fans will be able to come to the game, but we will still have a lot of support. Angers are in good form at the moment after two wins and a draw and will be coming here looking for a result. We want the three points to take another step closer to the title and we want to entertain our fans."

"I am very happy with the performance against Metz. It was a good reaction. We have very clear objectives between now and the end of the season, in the league and the two Cup competitions. The Champions League elimination was a disappointment, but we still have a lot to play for this season. Against Angers we have to prove again that the squad is focused on its goals."

Emery: 'Another step closer to the title'

The youth academy is very important for the club. We really want to make it as successful as possible. We try to give as many opportunities as possible for the youngsters to train with the first team. If they show they are good enough in training, we can give them some playing time with the first team. It is very important for the club that the young players from the youth academy develop into quality footballers."

"Nkunku is a young player. He is patient and very humble. He played very well last season. We decided with him, that the best option was to stay at the club rather than go out on loan. We are very pleased with his recent performances which have justified that decision. He plays well when we call on him."

"Marco Verratti needs more experience. He has a lot of character and personality. We often chat with him. He can improve in terms of his behaviour, his temper. But nobody here doubts in his ability. He is always improving and he will continue to improve."

"Trapp is a great professional. He works very hard. He is playing in the Cup competitions, but we might also give him some playing time in the league before the end of the season."
