Back to work...
It was under cloudy skies that Unai Emery and his directed training after offering the players a two-day break after the opening day 2-0 league win over Amiens at the Parc des Princes on Saturday. Attentions now turn to Sunday's trip to the Stade du Roudourou in Week 2 of the season: kick-off 21:00 CET.
It's a trip that will bring back a few bad memories for Paris fans after last season's 2-1 loss in Brittany. It may only be the start of the 2017-18 campaign, but Les Parisiens will be keen to make it back-to-back wins in the league, against an EAG side that defeated Metz 3-1 on the opening day of the season.
On Wednesday morning, the players began training with a long warm-up including gym work and muscle strengthening. The session continued behind closed doors and away from prying eyes and included the newest recruit: Neymar Jr who could make his competitive debut for Les Rouge et Bleu versus Guingamp.
Symbolically, it was another Brazilian that shone at the Stade du Roudourou with Paris Saint-Germain back in the 2002-03 season. Ronaldinho scored the Goal of the Season with a moment of individual brilliance.
On Sunday, Les Rouge et Bleu have to chance to maintain their 100% start to the season ahead of consecutive home matches, against Toulouse and Saint-Etienne, at the Parc des Princes.
