Rogla training camp: Paris win in Maribor !

Currently in Slovenia for their pre-season camp, Paris Saint-Germain Handball left Rogla to take on RK Maribor on Friday.

With their new recruits, the Rouge-et-Bleu started strongly. Thanks largely to the abilities of their young left-winger, Adama Keita, the capital club quickly took charge (15', 4-9). Then it was the turn of a new arrival, Sander Sagosen, to show his skills, registering a powerful brace. The saves of Clément Gaudin and Rodrigo Corrales meant our players returned to the dressing room with a comfortable cushion (12-17).

After the restart, and pushed on by the home crowd, the hosts upped the tempo. But that did not unsettle the Parisians, whose challenge was perfectly orchestrated by Luc Abalo (45', 21-27). Just like last season, Nikola Karabatic was everywhere, and a little lob saw Zvonimir Serdarusic's men take a handy lead they kept till the end (37-31).

After a first pre-season game safely negotiated, Daniel Narcisse & Co. will leave Slovenia on Sunday.

Uwe Gensheimer's reaction: "It was difficult today after a week of work in the mountains. But for a first game, I think we played rather well, even if there are of course a lot of areas in which we have to improve."
