Niko has had a fine time of it over the last few weeks, terrifying opposition defences and scoring freely - a fact no doubt still in Kielce's mind. He scored 12 goals over the double-header, earning a place in the Velux EHF Champions League's Best 7 with his performance in the second match (29-30). In domestic action, he also shot a 6 from 7 against Cesson-Rennes (32-25), but his defensive performances have also been top notch. With his hard work helping his side to avoid several goals, he is certainly one of the favourites to get the gong for November.
We keep saying it but, it continues to be true: Thierry Omeyer is the best 'keeper in the world. Nikola Karabatic confirmed it for us in an interview a few days ago. At 41 years and one month, Titi is still in peak form: on top of his excellent Lidl StarLigue performances, including a 40% save rate against Tremblay (25-23) and 45% against Aix (33-31), the last bastion of our defence has shone several times on the European stage. Kielce, who saw repel 44% of their shots, and Veszprém, against whom he saved 19 from 46, know all about it.
He also did the Hungarian side a lot of damage, especially in the first meeting, at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin. With the two sides neck and neck going into the final ten minutes, the young right-winger swung the balance in his team's favour with six quick-fire goals (33-28). A week later, he shone again, this time at the Veszprém Arena (24-29), shooting 6 from 6. The U19 World Champion also proved his scoring prowess in the league, with three goals against Cesson-Rennes. Not a bad month of November for the youngster!
He got the gong in October and is a fair to excellent chance to do it again this time around. He fired 10 from 12 against Dunkerque (32-29) and 7 from 8 against Nîmes (26-24) and Aix-en-Provence… The German international was in typically clinical form in November and his efforts took him to the top of the Lidl StarLigue scorers chart with 70 goals. He also tops the Velux EHF Champions League scorers chart, with 58 strikes. On top of being extremely efficient, Uwe also knows how to bring a crowd to its feet with a wide range of techniques, each more impressive than the last.
At just 22 years of age, Nedim Remili has become a familiar face in the world of handball, thanks mainly to a string of impressive performances - and his efforts in November were no different. The Parisian right-back top scored for his team on several occasions, notably against Aix-en-Provence, Kielce (33-28) and in the Lidl StarLigue Round 11 clash with Tremblay (25-23). In that match, he scored with a magnificent hip-shot that earned a place among the Top Goals.
