The Women's Team win their first game
Pushed on by the handful of supporters who had made the trip to Brittany, the Parisians quickly took control against their second-tier opponents. After two months without competitive football and a week of hard work, it was tough going physically. The Rouge-et-Bleu strived to play their game, all the same, and Katoto in particular called the opposing goalkeeper into action on several occasions.
After the break, Patrice Lair gave a number of his squad a run-out. The only player to stay on the pitch after the interval was Diani, whose close-range header struck the crossbar (53'). A few minutes later, Lady Luck smiled on the capital club. Geyoro played in Baltimore, who sent Hermoso clear (photo). The Spain international, who arrived this summer, picked her spot to register a first goal in her new colours (0-1, 67'). Brest had barely kicked off when Paris came back at them strongly once again. When a Périsset cross came into the box, Delie headed home the second (0-2, 69'). At the end of the game, Katoto came close to a third, but saw her shot hit a post (89'). So, a victory to end a week-long pre-season training camp, and one that augurs well for the campaign ahead as they return to Paris on Sunday.
