After securing an eighth victory in as many league matches, Paris Saint-Germain Handball is now entering the first international break of the season. With no fewer than eight Parisian players joining up with their respective national teams, we take a look at what's coming up.

Four Parisians with Les Bleus

Called up for the first time in their careers in the March and May international breaks, Noah Gaudin and Wallem Peleka are back with Les Bleus! Our two newly capped internationals will join Elohim Prandi and Karl Konan, true pillars of Guillaume Gille's squad, during this first international break of the season. On the agenda: a training camp in Capbreton starting on Monday,followed by a clash with Italy at the Palais des Sports in Pau on Saturday 1 November (18:45).

Busy schedule for Luc

Of the eight Parisian players joining up with their national teams this week, Luc Steins has the busiest schedule, with three Golden League matches. The Dutch, coached by former Paris boss Staffan Olsson, will kick off this friendly tournament with a match against the Faroe Islands on Thursday 30 October (20:30 CET), before taking on Denmark on Saturday 1 November (14:00 CET) and Norway the following day (16:45 CET).

Egypt to take on Portugal

In preparation for the upcoming African Handball Nations Championship in January 2026, Egypt will face one of the rising stars of European handball: Portugal. Unsurprisingly, coach Juan Carlos Pastor has called on Yahia Omar and Abdelrahman Abdou to compete in the Terras do Demo international tournament, which will see the Pharaohs take on the Iberians in a double-header in Moimenta da Beira on Thursday 30 October (20:00) and Saturday 1 November (16:00).

Sebastian Karlsson and Sweden face Spain

This friendly double-header between Sweden and Spain - a rematch of the Euro 2022 final - may have nothing officially riding on it, but it is nonetheless an eagerly anticipated test between two ambitious teams just a few months before Euro 2026. Michael Appelgren did not hesitate to call up Sebastian Karlsson, who returned from injury against Cesson Rennes on Sunday (38-33). The Parisian right winger will face La Roja on Friday 31 October (18:10) at the Saab Arena in Linköping, with a second match will take place the following day in Eskilstuna, with throw-off scheduled for 17:30.

Mateo Maras travels to Switzerland

A few months after their wonderful run at the 2025 World Cup - where they reached the final before being beaten by Denmark - Croatia are continuing their preparations for the upcoming Euros. Icelandic coach Dagur Sigurdsson, who won the 2016 edition with Germany, unsurprisingly called on Mateo Maras for this training camp in Switzerland, where they will face the Swiss national team in two friendly matches, on 30 October in Bern and then on 1 November in Kriens.

Three youth academy players called up

In addition to the senior squad, the youth academy is also heading into an international break . Impressive at the start of the season, both with the reserves and the senior team, Théo Ducap has been called up to the France U21 team for a training camp in Caen. He will be joined by Nathan Lafosse, a young left-back who plays an important role in the Nationale 1. Finally, Séraphin Marie, who was one of the revelations of last season's EHF Youth Club Trophy, will join up with the Portugal U19 team for a friendly tournament.
